New Covenant Academy ("we," "us," or "our") operates an SMS text messaging program to communicate with families about campus events, attendance inquiries, and school announcements. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information related to that program.

2.INFORMATION WE COLLECT

When you opt in, we collect your mobile phone number and the name of the associated student and/or parent/guardian.

3.HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We use your mobile number solely to send you the school-related messages described above (event notices, attendance inquiries, and announcements). Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of enrollment or of receiving any school service.

4.NO SHARING OF MOBILE INFORMATION (REQUIRED COMPLIANCE STATEMENT)

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All other categories of data sharing exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties. We do not sell, rent, or lease mobile phone numbers or opt-in data to any party. Mobile numbers are shared only with our messaging service provider (Twilio) strictly for the purpose of delivering the messages you have requested.

5.STUDENT PRIVACY / FERPA

Student information is protected in accordance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and applicable state student-privacy laws.

6.MESSAGE FREQUENCY & RATES

Message frequency varies based on school activity. Message and data rates may apply. Contact your wireless carrier for details.

7.OPT-OUT

You may withdraw consent and stop receiving messages at any time by replying STOP to any message. You will receive one confirmation message, after which no further messages will be sent. For help, reply HELP.

8.DATA RETENTION & SECURITY

We retain your contact information only as long as needed to operate the program and take reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect it.
